Charity Bible
Church is an independent, non denominational
bible church. We believe the King James Bible is God’s inerrant Word. We stand for the fundamentals of the Faith, however
differ from most “fundamentalists” in several doctrinal issues. Listed
below are some of our fundamental beliefs:
SALVATION: Salvation is a free gift that cannot
be earned by works whatsoever. (Eph 2:8-9) Salvation does not come about by being water baptized, joining a church, repenting
of your sins or any other work of the flesh. Salvation comes by believing the gospel. That being, Jesus Christ, sinless, perfect
Son of God died on the cross for our sins. He was buried but rose again the third day for our justification. In order to be
saved a person must trust completely in what Christ has done on their behalf at Calvary.
We believe that this gospel is being hid from the world today through the religious systems of this world that substitutes
works for salvation rather than just “believing on the Lord Jesus Christ”. (Acts 16:31)
THE BIBLE: We believe that the Bible is the word
of God. "Given by inspiration of God" it is not the product of human imagination or creativity. (II Timothy 3:16). We also
believe that the preserved inerrant word of God has always existed, still exists, and is identified today as the received
text. The translation of the received text into the English language has produced the inerrant, infallible word of God in
English. Though a multitude of English Bible translations exist at the present time, only the King James Version is translated
from the received text. The King James Version is identified as the inerrant, infallible, preserved word of God in the English
language.
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: Charity Bible Church
does not require more for church membership than does the Lord require for salvation. Therefore, all people with a spoken
testimony of salvation based upon the finished work of Christ as mentioned above will be welcomed as members of our church.
BAPTISM: In accordance to Ephesians 4:5, there
is only one baptism that has any importance in this current dispensation. The “one” baptism is the baptism by
the Spirit that places the believer into the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13). Water baptism was specifically given to
the nation Israel under the law given
by Moses, which was taken out of the way by the cross (Colossians 2:14).
THE UNIQUE APOSTLESHIP OF PAUL: The present dispensation
of the grace of God was a "mystery," not made known before, but God kept it hid in Himself until He raised up the apostle
Paul. To Paul God committed the revelation of "the mystery of Christ." Until God raised up Paul, His program and dealings
with Israel were in effect. (Romans 16:25-27;
Ephesians 2:11-3:12; Colossians 1:24-27)
DENOMINATIONS: We believe that to divide the church which is Christ’s body into denominations
is unscriptural. Since all saved individuals are members of the body of Christ there is no need to be divided into groups
that were founded by men. We have no ties to any denominations, associations or ecumenical groups. We do associate with, and
support those of like doctrine across the nation.
